Welcome to Avant Basenjis.
The creation of Avant basenjis was started in 2002 when Dennis and I (Vince) aquired
our first two basenjis.
We were taken captive by our first two Basenjis in 2002. Sroka's Bowser and
Baraka star of Giza. (AKA Bowser and Lavern). Ever since then we were mesmerized by the breed.
Avant actively participates in conformation and lure coursing trials to maintain competitive
with the breed. We are also good standing members of the Evergreen Basenji club.
We have been involved in the basenji world since 2002 and we are
learning new things about the breed everyday. These dogs are not for the faint of heart. Although they look adorable,
they do not always act that way.
